Over 96,000 trees and growing: join TD Tree Days and contribute to TD's goal of planting 1 million trees by 2030

A volunteer holding sign that says: #TD Tree Days. What's Your Reason? The Ready Commitment

From extreme weather events such as intense flooding and wildfires to drastic swings in temperature, our climate is becoming more turbulent and harder to predict.[1] The financial and social effects of these events are also being felt as people have been displaced or without power.

But what can trees do? Trees do more than beautify our parks. From absorbing carbon from the atmosphere to helping to manage rainfall, our green spaces are critical to building more resilient and liveable communities.

That's why we are targeting to plant 1 million new trees by 2030 as part of The Ready Commitment. Since launching this goal in 2017, we have planted more than 96,000 native trees and shrubs in communities across Canada and the U.S. This year, up to 10,000 volunteers and hundreds of community partners will help plant another 38,000 trees. In total, since TD Tree Days started in 2010, we have helped plant over 390,000 trees and shrubs across Canada and the U.S. - and the benefits keep growing!

Whether it's for the next generation or to have outdoor spaces to relax and play in, we all have our reasons for wanting a more sustainable tomorrow. Whatever your reason is, join us this fall for TD Tree Days. Register at www.tdtreedays.com to find a planting near you.
