a Thank You from Shannon - our site expert

September 21, Baker Pond site

Hi all!

Thank you so, so much for coming out Saturday September 16 and helping to plant 480 native trees and shrubs.  Together we created a windbreak, flowering tree and shrub clusters in the glade, and added some cool diversity to the formal gardens.

These trees enhance the pollinator garden (which is already beautiful thanks to effort of the amazing Pollinator Garden volunteers!)

Thanks especially to Laura for the tasty lunch (which the volunteers that planted Minesing Wetlands also loved!).  And thanks to Ralph, Tim and Ross for the extra spruce trees (and beech tree J ) donated by Doug Wineholt.  Also, thanks to Janine and TD for planting and helping us buy the trees!

All the best,

Shannon

(Janine – can you send this to all the volunteers that helped out Saturday?)
