Hello planters/volunteers and thank you all for donating your time for our upcoming event. Your role will definitely be vital to the success of our event and I wanted to take the opportunity to let you know what to expect that day to ensure a smooth fun filled day.

According to the weather forecast, Saturday October 28 will be cloudy with temperatures ranging from 6 – 11 Celsius, no chance of rain and wind speed ranging from 10-17 Km/hr
We recommend that you arrive a few minutes earlier than the specified time of 1:00 pm in order to complete registration and receive your TD Tree Days t-shirt. There will be a brief welcome huddle where important information will be shared followed by instructions on how to properly plant the trees/shrubs.
Site location: 14th Avenue and Reesor Road (Bob Hunter Memorial Park)
Parking and Directions:

• take either 407 East or hwy 7 East
• South (right) on Ninth Line
• East (left) along 14th Avenue
• pass the subdivision, past Sellwood Lane, past train tracks
• turn right at laneway (#7277 or 7373) 14th avenue
Along the laneway to the right is the parking lot
• Designated signs and volunteers will assist you with site location and parking
NOTE: Please park in designated parking lot as there will be no availability to park in the lot where the shuttle bus will be dropping off.
Wear closed toed sturdy footwear. Please do not wear sandals or flip flops to the event.
Dress for the weather. You can dress in layers with a windbreaker and bring rain gear in case of rainy conditions.
Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are also good items to bring along.
Previous volunteers are encouraged to wear their TD Tree Days t-shirt from last year.
If you are bringing minors of which you aren't the parent/guardian, please download and print the Minor Participant Waiver and Photo Release forms (https://www.tdtreedays.com/minor-waiver-parent-not-accompanied-en.pdf) for parent/guardian signature. You must provide the signed forms to the TD Site Leader when you arrive at the event.
§ 12:30 PM– 1:00 PM – Arrival (shuttle to planting location), registration, planting demonstration
§ 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM– Planting Activity
§ 3:30 PM– 4:00 PM – Clean up / Wrap up / Raffle Draw
